Protection of Personal Data
The functions of the data protection officer at the Public Entity Project Management Agency of the Ministry of the Interior (hereinafter referred to as PVA), are assigned to project manager Jurgita Rosinskienė. The main duty of the PVA data protection officer is to ensure compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) by promoting a culture of data protection within the organization and helping to implement key elements of the General Data Protection Regulation, such as data processing principles, data subject rights, tailored and standardized data protection, as well as keeping records of data processing activities, ensuring the security of data processing, and reporting data security breaches.
Individuals (data subjects) may contact the data protection officer on all matters relating to the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. The data protection officer must ensure secrecy or confidentiality in relation to the performance of his or her tasks, in accordance with European Union or Member State law.

The scope and purpose of personal data processing at the PVA, the measures for the storage of personal data, the rights of data subjects, the procedure for submitting and examining requests regarding the rights of data subjects and their implementation are established by the Rules for the protection and processing of personal data (approved by Order No. IV-27/2025 of 5 June 2025).
